Karen Harding – “Say Something” [Debut Single]

Co-written and produced by the immensely talented MNEK, “Say Something” features 22 year-old Karen Harding’s powerful R&B vocals with MNEK’s bassy garage beats and old-school house magic. “I want to bring what Whitney Houston brought to ’80s and ’90s R&B to house,”  explains the British songstress—and true to her words, “Say Something” sounds remarkably like a classic Whitney Houston jam. Check it out!

“Say Something” arrives October 19th via Method Records (home to Disclosure) .

STEED LORD – “CURTAIN CALL” [Official Video]

Icelandic synthpop-trio STEED LORD (Mega, Kali, and Eddie) delivers a fashionable visual treat for their latest single, “Curtain Call.” In the video, Directed by Einar Egilsson, we see lead-singer Kali in a stunning, avant-garde collection of chic ensembles roaming the streets of L.A as she gets the courage to finally draw the curtains on a ill-fated love affair. “Mending broken hearts is like puzzle, Curtain Call, Don’t wanna be still in love with you, here are my last words we are through”  Kali gently sings above the lush, sensual chorus.

“Curtain Call” has been in heavy rotation around here since we premiered the track back in January (here) and this video is simply just an added bonus to what is certainly one of the best tracks to emerge this year. As always, we can’t wait to hear (and see) what’s next to come from the L.A-Based trio.

“Curtain Call” is taken from the upcoming album “The Prophecy Pt. 2”

Robyn – “Be Mine” [Verschwende Deine Jugend Remix]

Legendary electronic duo Röyksopp and Sweden’s reigning Queen Robyn take over New York City’s Pier 97 today for their massive #DoItAgain Tour. To celebrate this glorious event I have attached below a rare (kinda) bootleg remix of Robyn’s 2005 classic, “Be Mine.” Robyn’s version always had a sense of frailty to it’s lyrics and sound; this remix in the other hand turns the song upside-down by infusing a menacing pulsing-synth throughout it’s run adding a sense of obsession to the original track. Click HERE to grab the free download.

Are you attending any of Röyksopp & Robyn’s shows? Share your thoughts below and let us know what you think of their live gig!

Enjoy!

Moko – “With You” [New Track!!]

The exceptionally talented UK songstress MOKO is back yet again with another smashing, 90s-inspired dance tune called, “With You.” The track, produced by Two Inch Punch  is a thunderous summer groove with pitched up vocal cuts and a thick bass that shares the same energetic house vibe as her previous single, “Your Love.” We love this!

“With You” and “Your Love” are both taken from MOKO’s upcoming GOLD – EP out September 8th!

Röyksopp & Robyn – “Monument” [Video Premiere]

Röyksopp & Robyn unveil the official video for the epic, “Monument” off their recently released mini album, ‘Do It Again.’ The interstellar video was directed by Max Vitali who also directed Roby’s Dancing On My Own, Call Your Girlfriend, Hang With Me, Indestructible  and Be Mine.

Max Vitali: “The video is about exploring the space around you and in you and finding your own space within it all. Half real, half fantasy. The way I see film is as a hybrid of technology and emotions, and hopefully there’s an artistic vision there as well. In a way that is what Röyksopp & Robyn also do, they merge something real with something computer generated to create bigger landscapes than possible without the help of technology.”
