Hailing from Sydney, 22-year-old electronic-pop producer, Elizabeth Rose has a knack for producing richly textured, highly addictive, electronic dance tunes.

Rose burst onto the scene back in 2012 with her debut single ‘Ready.’ The track is a blissful, infectious pop song layered in astral beats and loops that showcase her talent for making rich and melodic dance songs.

Rose recently teamed-up with UK producer Sinden for the new single, ‘Again.’ The fantastic collaboration is a boombastic treat of 808 key arrangements and club ready beats over Rose’s sweet dreamy vocals. (I’m kinda obsessed with this tune right now)

Listen to this gorgeous and haunting song called ‘Wasting My Young Years’ by hotly tipped, UK trio, London Grammar.

The stark gloomy production compares to the minimalist sounds of The XX’s and Active Child; driven by the lush, shiver-inducing vocals of lead singer, Hannah Reid.

This song by Norwegian singer-songwriter Truls (aka Truls Heggero) is simply pop-magic! Magic I tell you!!

Formally of indie-rock band Lukestar, Truls’ “Out of Yourself” is synthy and soulful electro-pop tune with a soaring catchy chorus driven by Heggero’s mind-blowing falsetto.

Introducing London’s electro-R&B-Soul singer, MOKO.

The talented 21 Y.O’s music is a mixture of R&B, gospel, house and soulful inspired electronica (think AlunaGeorge and Disclosure)

“Summon The Strength” is her debut single. And what a debut it is! The broody, slow burning dance track is a glorious throwback to early 90′s trip-hop; great bands like Massive Attack, Morcheeba and Tricky come to mind. “There are many laws, some of which I fight…but I, can’t summon the strength no more” MOKO soulfully sings above the sleek groovy production.

A new track called “Homesick” has recently appeared on her Souncloud page. The song is another great production that showcases Moko’s incredible vocal strength. Her velvety gospel voice channels the vocal power of Jennifer Hudson; easily breaking through the dominant pulsing bass and experimental electronic beats of the track.

I’m completely enamored and mystified by MOKO’s appearance, voice and sound. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for this talented newcomer!

DC-based duo, PLOY (Gil Wojcik and Justin Victoria) recently appeared on our radar via their shimmering and breeze electro-pop gem “XIX”. The sweet summery lyrics and brilliant “Love me like you did when we were only nineteen” hook of the track is right on-par in quality, creativity and refinement as anything done by electro-pop masters, Hot Chip and Chromeo.

A few days ago the duo resurfaced with another incredibly brilliant tune called, “VRDSNT.”  The song is a sunny and bubbly synth-pop track led by the dreamy and inviting chorus “If you want it babe, just come on over, just come on over.” The hook is wrapped in melodic synth and steel drum kicks that add an island-tinged nostalgic effect. The track is absolutely brilliant!!

Introducing Australian singer-songwriter, Betty Who.

We are extremely excited to introduce the talented newcomer on the blog! We stumbled upon her music a little while back and instantly became fans of her inescapable, sugar-coated, 80s flavored tunes.

Her debut single, “Somebody Loves You” produced by Peter Thomas (Hoodie Allen, Neon Hitch) is an infectious dance number with an irresistible hook that recalls the glorious pop-sounds of the early 80s when then newcomers, now icons, like Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson ruled the airwaves. The song’s official video is an equally nostalgic treat that charmingly captures the era. Think Flashdance and Cyndi Lauper’s “Girl Just Wanna Have Fun.”

Debuting her self-released EP, The Movement, on none-other than Billboard.com; Betty Who shared that “Somebody Loves You” was written right after the passing of the great Whitney Houston. She wanted to honor the pop icon but also drew inspiration from a recent breakup.

She tells Billboard: “When we were writing it, I had had enough distance from that relationship to have a moment where I could say, ‘Okay, not everything was bad”

In addition to “Somebody Loves You” Who’s, The Movement contains 3 additional tracks that shine as brightly as the first. The catchy songs, “You’re In Love” and “High Society” are two instant favorites. The electro-pop flavored tunes share the same charismatic pop-vibe as her debut. The perky vocals on “You’re In Love” and the dreamy, lush delivery of the ballad, “Right Here” will easily lure and capture the attention of any devoted Katy Perry and Ellie Goulding fans. Tasmanian singer-songwriter, ASTA briefly caught our attention last year when we stumbled upon her catchy electro-pop song, “My Heart is On Fire.”

ASTA possesses a very mysterious and unique voice that’s not easy to forget. So, following up on her, I decided to check her Facebook page for any updates; and as luck would have it she has just released another fantastic tune called, “I Need Answers.” Striking the perfect balance between electro-pop and indie-rock, the slow burning track begins like an acoustic Lykke Li song before breaking into a groovy danceable pop song highlighting the singer’s mystical vocals. I can’t get this amazing song out of my head. It’s so good. Take a look at the official video.

Another day, another incredibly amazing Swedish act. Introducing Singer-songwriter, Tove Lo.

Late last year the talented 24-year-old singer\songwriter released her first solo effort; the lyrically obsessive and heart-wrenching pop song, “Love Ballad.” Thou the song is a ‘ballad’ at heart; it plays like a catchy summer song—the track mixes melodic drums kicks over an island-tinged vibe that playfully carry the tune above Lo’s optimistic cries.

Tove Lo follows that incredible release with another stellar track called, “Habits.” A mid-tempo pop tune with the same lyrical punch as “Love Ballad.” The song and video depict the singer as she downward spirals in a list of habits and addictions after a failed relationship. “You’re gone and I gotta stay high, all the time, to keep you off my mind” she sings over the minimal pop beats of the chorus. Incredible song. I’m really excited to hear more from Ms. Tove Lo!

In search of new music I came across Parisian indie-pop-rock artist, Pamela Hute and her newly released single and video, “Vectorial Boy.”

The track’s brit-rock arrangement and incredibly catchy guitar-riffs draw influence from early 90′s pop-rock masters like Elastica (whom I adore) and The Breeders. The official video for “Vectorial Boy” might seem simple at first, but Hute’s Buddy Holly style glasses and androgynous demeanor is all that’s needed to complement the track’s lyrical coolness and electric pop-rock edge.

Introducing electro-pop-rock duo Inouwee!

Inouwee is a Danish indie pop electro duo from Copenhagen consisting of Kaare Hansen and Signe Marike. Their music is authentic, emotional and honest; with a genre-bending sound that cleverly blends trip-hop, indie and rock into darkly enigmatic pop songs.

“Danger,” is their brand new single. The track is taken from their debut EP, ‘GHOSTS AND SHADOWS.’ “I want to melt your cold blooded heart, need to, rip it up, got to tear it apart” lead singer Signe Marike softly croons over the tracks menacing synth work and dazzling keyboard play. The song’s hypnotizing electro-vibe plays like a secret project between NIN, Depeche Mode and MS MR that’s musically grounded by Marike’s warm emotional vocals. Loving this song. Take a listen!
