SEVDALIZA – “BACKSEAT LOVE” [New single + Video]

Holland-based singer\songwriter\producer Sevdaliza returns with a steamy video for the brand new single, “BACKSEAT LOVE”! We had a brief introduction of the Iranian-born songstress via her hypnotizing video for “Sirens Of The Caspian;” the seductive, Electro-R&B jam hasn’t left our favorite playlist since its debut back in June.

With “BACKSEAT LOVE” SEVDALIZA pushes the envelope a bit farther; musically and visually. The track, produced by Dutch producer Sjam Sjamsoedin aka Nobody Beats The Drum blends exotic, wobbly-beats and synth with classic house-elements that takes the singer to deep-house territories (think Jessica 6  and Hercules & Love Affair). Visually, “Backseat Love” is definitely a lot more risqué then her previous efforts. In the video, the beautiful songstress takes us on an intimate, sexual escapade of forbidden fantasies (threesomes, anonymous encounters and hotel room sex, etc) all shot and directed glamorously with a tasteful eye.

Although the video’s steamy scenes are pleasing to the eye (and they are steamy!); the song’s sensual, deep-house production is the real pleasure here.

Tove Styrke – “Borderline” [New Single!]

The return of Tove Styrke is officially in full effect! After a few years of absence from the music scene, the Swedish songstress made a surprising return this year with the fiery pop-rock-anthem (and mouthful-of-a-title), “Even If I’m Loud It Doesn’t Mean I’m Talking To You”. The song’s percussive melody and catchy-chorus had us hooked instantly; but it became apparent how much we truly loved it when its energetic, eye-popping dance video was unveiled.

Styrke’s newly released single “Borderline” is yet another, pleasantly surprising (understatement) sonic curveball. Much like Diplo and Robyn’s “Dancehall Queen” the track is a laid-back, reggae-infused jam with catchy steely-drums and a groovy, electronic backdrop. But unlike Robyn’s seductive romp, “Borderline” has a broodier sound with a much bolder lyrical punch “I‘m borderline happy and I’m borderline sad, I’m borderline good and I’m borderline bad… I live my life in shackles but I’m borderline free”.  Amazing!

“Borderline” is out now!

Ella Eyre – “Comeback” [New Single]

London soul songstress, Ella Eyre continues to cause waves in the music scene thanks in part to her unique style and intense, powerful vocals. Back in early July we premiered her euphoric track If I Go, now the 20-year-old singer returns with another soulful anthem called, ‘Comeback.’ The singer describes the song as the ultimate break up song when you’re trying to make someone feel better.”  And with it’s blunt, emancipating chorus We’ve all been played, we’ve all been hurt, just take the pain, let that motherfucker burn…”  we have no doubt in our minds that this tune will surely empower anyone to move on. Listen!

‘Comeback’ is taken from Ella’s upcoming debut album expected to drop later in the year.

London-based AZ&TOR comprised of vocalist Aisha Zoe and Detroit-born producer Rich Main return with the sublime, aptly-titled, ‘Featherlight.’ The seductive track is as light and smooth as it sounds— imagine if 90’s Acid-jazz band The Brand New Heavies and AlunaGeorge got together for a jamming session…the resulting track would be this gloriously groovy, sexy number.
