Director Jared Raab creates a world of smoke, mirrors, and intense lasers for Diamond Rings‘ first single from his upcoming as-yet-untitled new album.

The upcoming new album sounds very promising! as it has productions by Bjork, Robyn and Prodigy-collaborator Damian Taylor.

I remember seeing Diamond Rings for the first time when he opened for Robyn in NY’s Radio City Music Hall (two years ago?). I saw a lot of potential in him— he is a great writer (his soul-baring track “Something Else” it’s amazing) but musically he wasn’t all there yet.

After listening to this new track, I’m happy to say that he is moving in the right direction.
